Post # 2 Yelawolf-"Radioactive November" 21st 2011

Yelawolf  has gone "RADIOACTIVE". After signing to Eminem's imprint Shady Records earlier this year, it was pretty clear (well to me anyway) that Slim Shady had found his heir apparent and was ready to introduce the mainstream to his latest protege. Pretty high bar if you ask me. Em's meteoric rise to the top is something that EVERY rapper, black and white alike aspires to. One can only hope that the pressure won't collapse you. Blah, Blah, Blah....enough of that...How's the album LEEB?!

1. Radioactive Introduction-From the opening track "White Dog" tears into the pulsing beat and makes you understand that he didn't come here for play play and he is at least by the first track ready to burn your ears off. Great start off to the LP...1/1

2.Get Away ft. Shawty Fatt & Mystikal- Another stomach hurting beat..Then Yela unleashes that rapid fire flow that has been getting him so much attention in 2010 and 2011, his flow is clear and concise and you can hear every word, not like Bone Thugs or a drunk Twista lol...Shawty Fatt doesn't impress but MYSTIKAL is back, and its good to hear him again...glad he's home...another banger 2/2

3. Let's Roll ft. Kid Rock-The first "industry" song...no wonder its a single...its not entirely bad but it sounds kinda flat and souless, not the southern fried chunkiness that i would have wanted..2/3

4. Hard White (Up In The Club) ft. Lil Jon-This track is completely 50 Cent's "In Da Club" on steroids or in Yelawolf's case Crystal Meth...crazy track... Lil Jon adds that extra crunk like only he can...definitely ride worthy...3/4

5. Growin' Up in the Gutter ft. Rittz-Yoooo! This beat really sounds like somebody decided to record a 67 Chevy starting up and loop it into a sample..then mute it so Yelawolf and Rittz can ride over this one...Dope! 4/5

6. Throw It Up Ft. Gangsta Boo & Eminem-Wow, First Mystikal and now Gangsta Boo?! Yelawolf is really bringing back some South legends...This is the track I was waiting to hear. Mentor and Student finally about to let it rip on a song together....Yela goes in like he's supposed to, Gangsta Boo doesn't do much then the beat stops.............Then Em decides to drop an Atom Bomb..weaving in and out of triple time rhymes and rewind worthly punchlines...Proving that Yelawolf is still a young padawan lol...5/6

7. Good Girl ft. Pooh Bear- Not your average "boo luving" song...but any boo luving song gets no play in my ride so....SKIP!....5/7

8.  Made in the U.S.A. Ft. Priscilla Renea-The Blue Collar Worker anthem...this is that "built ford tough" song...a nice little ditty but nothing extraordinary....5/8

9. Animal ft. Fefe Dobson-At first was gonna skip this song off the rip b/c i saw Fefe Dobson's name but if you have a strong stomach like i have and are able to get the her opening hook, the song really lives up to his title....but the beat could have been wayyyyyy better...6/9 reluctantly.

10. The Hardest Love Song in the World-I appreciate the production...the song snuck up on me...something to walk and smoke to...7/10

11. Write Your Name ft. Mona Moua- From the opening chord and the "Justice League" tag line...I was like damn!...and on top of that the beat is a dead ringer for "Aston Martic Music"...luckily he isn't floss rapping on this and this actually turns out to be an ode to his home state of Alabama....whew...i was scared lol....8/11

12. Everything I Love The Most-I've never been to Alabama but if their producers are all like this...i need to at least go to a Crimson Tide game or something...i could have done without the sing songy hook...but the lyrics carry this one...9/12

13. Radio-The hook drives me crazy but the song IS dope regardless...he is giving it up for how rap USED to be and I respect that....10/13

14. Slumerican Shitizen ft. Killer Mike-Finally a Rock fused banger!...Both Wolf and Mike handler their business...Killer Mike still catching beats like Randy Moss...I love this...11/14

15. The Last Song-This is the middle finger to his Daddy song...he is basically telling him that he made it to this point despite of him...Nice closeout... 12/15

Now there are three Bonus Tracks but there are on the deluxe version...and im pretty sure they do not detract from the layout of the album.

As you can see there are 3 songs that i flat out don't like and will more than likely skip them every time...This album is a solid effort for Mr. Wolf and it should please many ears for the winter...My major gripe is that virtually EVERY song has a feature. I would have liked to hear Yelawolf  go dolo on more of HIS ALBUM...but hey maybe he'll do that on  Trunk Muzik 2 or something.
