LHRM's Top 25 Albums of 2014 no. 25-13

....And Here It Is Folks....The TOP 25 Hip-Hop Albums of 2014!!!! 25 thru 13!

25. Stat Quo- All This Life Allows Vol. 1.-  Stat Quo has been around for years...one of the earlier artist on the Shady/Aftermath roster...Its good to see him still putting out quality music...Must listen

24. Rick Ross-Mastermind- "What Is This?" " Maybach Music"...."I Like This Maybach Music"...."Sweet"....Honestly this is Rozay's most complete album to date...I don't know why he bothers to sully this release with "Hood Billionaire"...The world may never know.

 23.  Schoolboy Q- Oxymoron- Finally got the anticipated debut major label release from Schoolboy Q...it was worth it too...he hit the ground running with "Collard Greens" and only gained more momentum from there...by the end of the year...EVERYONE was sitting in that "Studio" trying to get to their baby.

 22. Smoke DZA- Dream.Zone.Achieve- The Soul Of Harlem and The Ghost Of Dipset flows all throughout this album...Thought its a bit lengthy...It has a enough joints to get you through that Kush session...Riiiiiiight.

21. Curren$y- Saturday Night Car Tunes/ More Saturday Night Car Tunes- Spitta Andretti holds true to form by releasing more mixtape EPs...I personally would have preferred if he would have put out one mixtape or LP with all 14+ plus song like 2013's "New Jet City"...but this project will have to suffice I guess lol.

20. OG Maco + Key!- Give Em Hell- During my travels to the underground this summer...I stumbled upon this gem by two of  rap's "On The Verge" artists....Regions be damned...The internet is the great equalizer and your ears will thank you for me..Trust me.

19. RaRa-High End Low Life- This project was so soulful...its truly a shame that more people don't know about this...it really is worth the listen...its so good...Long Live RaRa..

18.   Lil Herb- Welcome To Fazoland- Out of all of the new artist coming out of that "Chiraq" movement....G-Herbo is head and shoulders above the rest..Seriously...with the exception of Chance and Spenzo being a distant 2nd...Lil Herb is poised to make much noise in this game...The scariest part about him is he is only 18 or 19 and he already has "IT"...Its a reason why Common has him on the opening track on his latest LP.  AND he just dropped "Pistol P Project" which is equally as impressive...expect to hear A LOT of Herb in 2015...mark it.

17.  Sean C & LV- Loud Dreams Vol 1.- Producer driven albums are always a staple in my year end list and this one is no exception. This production duo laces a virtual who's who of  rap veterans and rookies alike with Complete BANGERS....this album is essential to any Beat Junky's collection.

16. Ghostface Killah-36 Seasons- Tony Starks continues to be the most consistent member of the Wu (Rae is starting to pick up the pace) but with that being said...MODERN day Ghost seemed uninspired by this concept album...compared to last year's "12 Reasons To Die" this album sounds like mere B-Sides...its still good enough be ranked among this year's best but its this is NOT his best work...Wu Stans..be honest with yourself.

15. Styles P- Phantom Of The Ghost- Another year brings another solid piece of work from my favorite member of The Lox....Paniro does what he does best...Unapologetically giving you the hardest bars out...In the end that's all you really want from the ghost right?

14. Common-Nobody's Smiling- This was defnitely Common's darkest album to date...While some may have appreciated the deslolate tone...I for one left this album feeling unsure...I one hand i understood he was trying to capture the the angst and despair that is festering in his hometown then on the other hand you have songs that almost seem to promote or absolve the violent crimes that are taking place.

13.  Big Krit-Cadillactica- My anticipation this album was through the roof!... But.It let me down a bit ...Though it wasn't the classic I was hoping for...it was better than"Live From The Underground" but it WAS NOT better than "King Remembered In Time". Here hoping that his 3rd Studio album will be the one that I'm waiting for

......See You Guys On New Years Eve For The LHRM's Top 25 OF 2014  12-1!!! Peace!!!!
